Supporting Lightweight Customization for Meeting Environments

چکیده

Figure 1. The pilot study setup ABSTRACT Digital wall-sized displays commonly support authoring and presentation in face to face meetings. Yet most meeting applications show not only meeting content (i.e., the material being developed) but authoring tools as well – the usual controls, palettes, and menus. Attendees are distracted when the author navigates the (usually complex) interface as part of the authoring process the tools themselves unnecessarily clutter the display. The problem is that current customization techniques are not suited for meeting environments as complex customization interfaces take attention away from the meeting agenda thus making customization a socially unacceptable practice.

Scaffolding: A way for supporting learners in e-learning environments

Introduction: One of the effective ways to help learners improve their learning in learning environments is scaffolding. Scaffolding can be defined as teachers, other learners and resources support of learner on tasks that can’t be done alone. Experts strongly demand scaffolding to be used to help learners on abstractive and complex issues. The aim of this study is to examine the scaffoldi...

Cost-aware Topology Customization of Mesh-based Networks-on-Chip

Nowadays, the growing demand for supporting multiple applications causes to use multiple IPs onto the chip. In fact, finding truly scalable communication architecture will be a critical concern. To this end, the Networks-on-Chip (NoC) paradigm has emerged as a promising solution to on-chip communication challenges within the silicon-based electronics. Many of today’s NoC architectures are based...

Web-Protege: A Lightweight OWL Ontology Editor for the Web

In this paper, we present Web-Protégé—a web-based lightweight ontology editor. Web-Protégé is open source, uses the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) for the user interface, and Protégé for supporting ontology services. We used components of Collaborative Protégé to augment the ontology-editing environment with facilities for discussions and annotations. In this paper, we describe both the server and th...
